Due to heavy rains associated with Typhoon No. 24, some prefectural roads were closed, but these restrictions are being lifted in stages. The latest road conditions and trekking feasibility are as follows

■ Road closure lifted (trekking resumes)

September 16, 9:00 AM -
The road closure on the "Yakushima Park Anbo Line (Yakusugi Land Line)" will be lifted.

From early morning on Thursday, September 17th,
the roads to Arakawa Trailhead (Jomon Cedar), Yakusugi Land, and Yodogawa Trailhead (Mt. Miyanoura, etc.) will be open to traffic.
*With this, trekking to Jomon Cedar and other locations will be able to resume.

■ Road remains closed (trekking not permitted)

Prefectural road leading to Shiratani Unsuikyo Gorge.
*Please note that trekking in Shiratani Unsuikyo Gorge is currently not possible.
